FAQ

How can I book an apartment?

You can communicate your wish to book an apartment via email or telephone (see the Contact page), indicating the dates chosen, the number of people (adults and children, and age of the children), and the code of the apartment chosen.

Once the availability of the apartment has been verified within 24-48 hours, to proceed with the booking a deposit is required (between 20 and 50% of the total sum).

Final payment on arrival or before arrival: some local partner agencies require final payment before the client’s arrival, but others accept final payment on arrival. When it is required before arrival, this can be paid between 15 to 10 days prior to arrival.

How can I pay the deposit and the final payment?

Deposits can be sent only via bank transfer or, in exceptional cases, also by money order which requires the payment of a supplement of 10.00 euro. It is not possible to pay by credit card.

Regarding the final payment, if this has to be paid before arrival, the same method can be used as for the deposit, but if the final payment is paid on arrival at the local agencies, each agency has its own method and these are in line with the contract rules of the location.

Is it possible to rent for the whole season or less than 7 nights?

We do not deal with seasonal renting, the maximum is 5 weeks of rental and we do not have flat-rate monthly prices or for more weeks.

In the schedule for each apartment, after the description of same, there is information given regarding the minimum period of rental for each apartment, but during the summer months, it will not be rented for less than 7 nights.

When to book?

We cannot accept “last minute” bookings. If there are less than 4 working days before arrival, it is not possible to book.

Is it possible to see the apartments before booking?

This is possible only for apartments in Versilia, but also in this case before fixing an apartment, we have to verify if the apartments in which you have expressed interest are free in the period requested and if it is possible to visit them (if there are other people resident in the apartment, it would be possible to view it only from the outside).

Will I have something written after having booked?

Yes, once the deposit is paid, a contract will be sent giving all details of the booking (via email, fax or priority post) which should be kept safely by the client and shown at the request of the local agency, as it a voucher for the handing over of the apartment.

One signed copy of the contract must be returned to SacconiCase (via email, fax or post).

Before paying the deposit, it is possible to see a specimen contract, which is identical in all effects except for the information regarding the local agency, which is not included.

What happens if I cancel the booking?

If the deposit has already been paid, the deposit is lost but no other payment is required nor any sum of money as a penalty fee. If the deposit has not already been paid, then nothing is required.

In cases when the final payment has to be paid before arrival, once it has been sent no reimbursement is possible.

And if I lose the contract?

It is possible to request a copy of the contract without paying a penalty.

If the client realises on arrival that he does not have the contract with him and the local agency objects, the client can get in touch with us or ask the local agency to do so and as soon as possible, a copy of the client’s contract will be sent to the local agency.

Are the prices up to date?

The prices are up to date for the year given above the price table.

If there are no prices, or the prices are not updated to the current year, it doesn’t mean that the apartment is not available for renting. Ask us about the apartment which interests you and we will let you know about its availability as well as the up-to-date price.

There are no last minute prices.

How must the prices be understood?

The prices are never per person but always for the apartment and are weekly prices. Even when the price range includes two or three weeks, the price is always considered per week (which is also written above the table of prices).

Example: if the period is from 7/8 to 21/8 and the price is 700 euro, if you wish to book from 7/8 to 21/8 the price is calculated as 700×2 = 1,400 euro, as the price is weekly and the rental period is for two weeks.

Sometimes an apartment has different prices according to the number of people. In this case, the price table gives the number of people by the side of the price, and in this case too the price is always for the apartment and never for the number of persons.

In places where it is possible to rent not only from Saturday to Saturday but free dates (this also can be read in the schedule of each apartment) the prices for more than 7 nights are always calculated in daily prices. Therefore if you wish to rent for 12 nights and the weekly price is 500 euro, you can calculate it as follows: 500 divided by 7 = 71.42 euro (daily price), so 71.42 euro x 12 nights = 857.04 euro for 12 nights.

What does the price include?

What is included and what is excluded is indicated below the price table.

SacconiCase’s commission is always included in the price.

Where there are private beaches with umbrellas and deckchairs, the prices never include the beach services except for Lido di Jesolo. For other destinations, like Lignano, on request we can forward the client the telephone numbers to call to contact the nearest Beach Office to the apartment so that the client himself can book umbrellas and deckchairs.

Can I book through SacconiCase my journey (air flights or sea ferry)?

Unfortunately not. SacconiCase is an estate agent and not a travel/tour agency operator, so we can only deal with rentals. We will try however, within the limits possible, to give useful information to the clients regarding their journey, and some of this information is available directly on the website.

Where should I go on arrival?

On arrival the client should go to the local agency indicated on the contract, to collect the keys and to pay the final amount (if this has not already been done before departure).

If the local agent is a long way from the booked apartment, the client will be received at the booked apartment and the client will be given via email the exact address of the apartment and the details of it. For example, for all the apartments on the island of Cres/Cherso we have an agency in Lussino. Given the distance between Lussino and Cres/Cherso, the reception will be carried out directly on Cres/Cherso.
